A winner in maiden special weight and allowance company – in races she took by 4½ lengths and 8¾ – Frank’s Folly earned black-type with a third in the $120,000 Weber City Miss Stakes.

LANGFUHR PENSIONED AT 26

Lane’s End Farm announced today that prominent stallion Langfuhr has been pensioned at age 26. A member of the Lane’s End stallion roster since 2004, Langfuhr’s progeny have reached the highest echelon of Thoroughbred racing. Langfuhr sired 95 black-type winners, 26 graded stakes winner and five champions. Most notably Wando who was crowned Canadian Horse of the Year and Champion Three-Year-Old after winning the Canadian Triple Crown in 2003.

Lane’s End stallions are available for viewing at the stallion complex from November 5th to November 11th, 11am to 2pm daily.

 

Lane’s End announced today its 2019 stallion roster and stud fees. After a successful 2018 for their current stallions and the addition of three exciting new stallions, the farm looks forward to next year with a roster that includes its long-standing, proven stallions as well as its strong lineup of young up and comers.

He’s got a fair bit of work to do to catch the likes of Bob Baffert (10 wins) and Wayne Lukas (9 victories), but trainer Simon Callaghan won his second straight GI Chandelier S. (formerly Oak Leaf S.) Saturday afternoon at Santa Anita, saddling Kaleem Shah’s Bellafina (Quality Road) to a thoroughly convincing victory over pacesetting Vibrance (Violence). ‘TDN Rising Star’ Brill (Medaglia d’Oro) checked in a distant third. The victory earns Bellafina an all-expenses-paid trip to the GI Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies at Churchill Downs Nov. 3.
