EXPERIENCED GROOMS

Grooms are responsible for the routine daily care of the horses. This includes, but is not limited to, mucking stalls, grooming, bathing, basic groundwork, as well as assisting with veterinary and farrier work. It may also involve the light use of farm equipment such as tractors.

Schedule: 48 hours across a 5.5 day work week

All applicants must be self-motivated with the ability to work well as part of a team. Candidates must be able to lift, push, pull or carry 50lbs. and be able to perform the physical tasks required of the position.

EXPERIENCED NIGHTWATCH

Nightwatch must check the stalls, fields, and paddocks, monitor all horses for health concerns and/or bandages, If attention is needed, must notify the person on call, ensure horses have ample water throughout the night, ensure horses have ample hay throughout the night and during foaling season you must closely monitor the mares and notify the on-call person immediately once the mare appears to be in labor.
