The Factor (War Front—Greyciousness, by Mswaki), who stood the last breeding season at
JBBA Shizunai Stallion Station in Hokkaido, Japan, will return to Lane’s End Farm for 2019.

The ten-year-old is the current leading third sire by earnings year to date along with being the leading third-crop North American sire by cumulative black-type horses with a total of 25, which puts him well clear of Union Rags and Bodemeister, who are tied for second with 19. The Factor is second on the third-crop North American sire list by cumulative graded stakes horses with eight; he is followed by Tapizar and Shackleford with seven and Dialed In and Bodemeister with six. The Factor currently leads all North American third-crop sires by 2018 earnings with $4,730,235, which puts him ahead of stallions such as Creative Cause, Tapizar, and To Honor and Serve.

G2 Shakertown S. winner Bound For Nowhere is the leading progeny by The Factor. With his recent victory in the Tourist Mile S. at Kentucky Downs, his earnings hit $755,607. A string of recent black-type accomplishments for The Factor includes Bandua’s recent third-place finish in the G1 Secretariat S., Factorofwon’s win in Santa Anita’s Black Pearl S. and Northwest Factor’s victory in the Angie C S.
