First-crop sire Connect landed his first winner on Tuesday when Knowles Farm homebred Whatstheconnection led wire to wire his first-time out at Indiana Grand.

Connect’s first two-year-olds are not only hitting the ground running at the track, but also in the sales ring. He has sired 10 six-figure lots at the two-year-old sales this spring, with a colt leading at $685,000 and a filly at $640,000.

A $150,000 yearling himself purchased by the late Paul Pompa, Jr., Connect won six of eight lifetime starts including the Grade 1 Cigar Mile, earning a 106 Beyer and 1 Ragozin, and the Grade 2 Pennsylvania Derby.

Connect stands for $15,000.
