Lane’s End Farm’s NOBLE MISSION (GB) followed up an advantageous first month of two-year-old sales with an even more impressive April both stateside and internationally.
A Noble Mission filly consigned by De Meric Sales (hip 90) was purchased for $160,000 at the OBS April Sale by Lane’s End Bloodstock, while hip 435, another filly by the European Champion, brought $150,000 from bloodstock agent Adam Parker at that same auction. Hip 196, a half-brother to G1 Hopeful winner Circular Quay, was purchased for $190,000 at OBS April by West Point Thoroughbreds, Lane’s End Bloodstock, agent. Across the Atlantic, lot 70 at the Goffs UK Breeze Up Sale proved Noble Mission’s international appeal, selling to Stroud Coleman Bloodstock for £75,000. However, the highlight of the month was hip 371 at OBS April. After breezing in :10.2, the chestnut filly from the family of Calibrachoa and Bellamy Road was scooped up by West Bloodstock/Repole Stable for $250,000.
With a total of 11 two-year-old purchases so far in 2018, Noble Mission boasts an average of $133,725 and a median of $120,000. Lane’s End looks forward the continued support from buyers at the upcoming Fasig-Tipton Midlantic Two-Year-Olds in Training Sale in which five progeny of Noble Mission are catalogued.
