Fri, 04/13/2018 - 15:25
After a solid start to his two-year-old sales career at the Fasig-Tipton Gulfstream Sale, Noble Mission (GB) saw his success transfer across the Atlantic with his first European auction. The multiple Group 1-winning Champion had one colt sell at the Goffs UK Breeze-Up Sale. That strapping chestnut, who is out of Grade 2 winner Sarah’s Secret, fetched £75,000 from Stroud Coleman Bloodstock. The Lane’s End stallion now boasts a two-year-old sales average of $140,244 and a median of $112,988.
With two well-bred lots catalogued for the Tattersalls Craven Breeze Up Sale, held April 16-18 in Newmarket, the momentum looks to keep building. Tally-Ho Stud consigns lot 83, a filly out of Bromelia. She hails from the immediate family of Group 1 winner Good Ba Ba and graded stakes winner Tiznow R J. This is also the female family of Champions Miesque and Tapestry. Tally-Ho consigns lot 160, as well. This colt is out of stakes winner Limonar (Ire), who is a half-sibling to G1 winner Talco (Fr).
A total of 11 Noble Mission-sired hips will be on offer at the OBS April Sale, which will be held April 24-27 in Ocala, Florida. Hip 90 is a filly out of the multiple graded stakes winner Belleski, which makes the juvenile a half-sibling to the graded stakes winner Keri Belle. Hip 196 is a Halcyon Hammock Farm-consigned colt out of a half-sister to the Grade 1 winner Circular Quay. The colt’s second dam is G1 Spinaway victress Circle of Life. Hip 1134 is an intriguing offering from the Eddie Woods consignment. The chestnut colt is a half-brother to the G1-winning Champion She Be Wild. Also from the Eddie Woods consignment is hip 471, a colt out of the graded stakes-placed Honimiere (Ire). Paul Sharp offers hip 435, a half-sister to the graded stakes winner Guest Suite from the immediate female family of Champion A.P. Indy, European highweight Wolfhound, Classic winner Summer Squall and Broodmare of the Year Lassie’s Lady.
With some of Noble Mission’s best-bred progeny on offer in upcoming auctions, Lane’s End is looking forward to a busy sales season in the coming weeks.
