THE FACTOR AMONG TOP SIRES BY EARNINGS

Thu, 06/20/2019 - 16:03

With over $3.8 million in earnings halfway through 2019, Lane’s End stallion The Factor ranks among the top sires in the nation. This fact, which is impressive on its own given his $15,000 fee, is even more so when taking into account that The Factor’s highest individual earner, G2 winner Cistron, has banked $204,560 this year. This makes The Factor the leading fourth-crop sire to make the list – an accomplishment achieved without a million-dollar earner, or even an earner over $250,000.

Seven sires on the 2019 Leading Sires List have produced millionaires, and a further seven have runners with $500,000 or more in winnings. The Factor’s place on this list highlights his propensity for throwing numerous, consistent runners. The son of War Front is second by winners with an extraordinary 91 winner from 196 runners so far this season.

Moreover, The Factor and Midnight Lute, who also stands for $15,000, are the two lowest stud fees on the 2019 Leading Sires List. War Front, who stands for $250,000, Tapit, who stands for $225,000, Medaglia d’Oro at $200,000 and Curlin at $175,000 are also on the 2019 Leading Sires List, and each has fewer winners than The Factor.

With so many winners and dependable runners, The Factor offers breeders a great value at $15,000.
